Women and Sex Addiction

The Making of a Sex Addict

The Progress of Pornography

1 out of 3 women and 1 out of 6 men were sexually abused as children!!!  81% of them will have an addiction as an adult.  80% of them will marry a person with an addiction or their spouse will be abusive.  Sex addiction is hardly ever about sex!  This is so hard to understand because the nature of the act is sex.  However, if you have been struggling with this issue, you know that it is an issue about intimacy.  It's is always hard for the betrayed spouse to understand how you could be having an ongoing affair or spending time viewing pornography, and it not be about sex.  Most men who struggle with this addiction often say they don't even remember the women, don't remember ever having real intimacy with a woman, and feel very "out of body" when engaged in the crazy behavior.  Most men live a very dual life.  In one compartment; trusted employee, strong Christian, involved in the community another compartment; totally disengaged, spending money on the addiction, secrecy, and clandestine behavior.  Isolation has now taken it's toll and there is no desire to take this dirty, secretive  and shaming behavior to the bed of their wife, and now sex has been absent for weeks, months, and in some cases years within the marriage. (more click here)
